The month of August has been a record-breaker and it’s all thanks to you, our awesome loyal readers! We’ve decided that since you’ve supported us so much this month, we’re going to give you some free stuff! However, we need you to leave a comment letting us know what you’d like!
Hello readers, to show you our appreciation for the success we’ve had with the website in this past month, we’d like to give away a few free things!
The problem: We need to know what type of things you’d like to get for free!
- We have a few things in mind, such as the eBooks, Rockstar WordPress Designer or Rockstar Freelancer. No? How about a WordPress Theme giveaway from the fine people over at Obox Design?
The solution: We need you to leave us a comment and let us know if the things we mentioned suit your fancy or if there’s something else you’d like instead. We’re open to suggestions as long as it’s related to web design and development! Other than that, it’s up to you!
Once we recieve enough feedback, we’re going to go into the planning stages for the giveaway and we hope to be giving away a few things to our readers before the end of the month! We also have a few new tutorials coming before the end of the month so keep checking back, you definitely don’t want to miss out!
Note this isn’t the actual giveaway, we’re just looking for ideas of things to giveaway. The actual giveaway will happen very soon, though!

Nice. I think we should give away like a Graphic River account with $25-$50 USD. I think a lot of people will be satisfied.

Or maybe the Rockstar Freelancer book.
i gotta say, the 25-50$ Graphic river is ok…. but, the Rockstar freelancer book is just awesome!!!! that would be so amazing!!!! please please please do that

Sorry, i looked at the book, and i see all it does it basiccly tell you how to chill like a freelancer lol, but are there any books out there which help you learn how to design via photoshop? those would be amazing!

Is there a book out there that teaches you web design via photoshop? not “web design for dummies”, but something else. Is there?
A subscription to tutsplus.com might turn on the masses?
A Tuts+ membership would be very very awesome.
I agree with everything everyone suggested. A subscription or a account to a popular designer website will be really nice, but its all up to Alan.

Good ideas guys. Although I’d like retain readers rather than send them to another site, I think a TUTS+ membership sounds pretty good! I’ve been a fan of TUTS+ for a while now so I think a Plus account giveaway would be really cool.
TUTS+ got me into what I do, along with a lot of others. How exactly do we win?

I’m not sure how I’m going to handle the giveaway. A contest would be interesting or I could randomly select winners for a giveaway–more info soon after I’ve had more time to think it over!

@alan, Im sure doing it randomly would be better, as some people would not be able to do w/e the contest would be.

I do believe that a free wordpress theme or template would be nice. Or a guide on how to code and slice a photoshop document for integration into wordpress. That would be hawt.
Timmy, I do like your idea on how to code/slice a PSD for WordPress, but in my opinion that isn’t a prize. You couldn’t simply Google that. I think the TUT+ or Graphic River account would be the greatest. Alan is a smart person. He will make the best choice.

lien- the design tutorials and examples are free to use for any purpose without attribution. WP themes have to keep our, or the author’s, link in the footer.
